Springfield Disc Golf Club will be hosting the 17th Annual CCC. This will be a PDGA sanctioned tournament. First round will be at Douglas Park and second round at Lincoln Park(South Course). Steve Vose will be the Tournament Director. More information soon.
The next club meeting will be held July 8th immediately following leagues. All club members are invited. You can join the club that evening.
Everyone is invited to the Wednesday night leagues. Please show up a few minutes early so we can tee off at 5:30. First time ever to leagues is free. $1 course maintenance fee per league night. Join the Springfield Disc Golf Club and hit an ace and win some $$$. Not an April fools prank.

We are helping with Hope School and their disc golf program for their residents. Any used discs you would like to donate, we will be collecting next Saturday. Putters, midrange, drivers. Steve has promised to provide some club swag that has gone unused for years to help the residents.

Quick Run Down from last night’s meeting:
Going to review alternatives for #3 South (including wire relocation) before the Course Map is redone by the Park District as a “Winter Project”.
Tree went through a litany of Park District projects that were disc golf related that the Park District will be working on – they are going to be busy this winter.
Corndog presented the summary of the CCC Financials.
Murph announced plans for an early year non-sanctioned event for recruitment.
There was consensus that organized cleanup efforts during league rounds or second/third rounds be organized and implemented.

Members present voted to spend 6,000.00 of club funds towards a course installation at Centennial Park. Paragon Disc Golf will take care of another 6,000.00 of the costs at Centennial Park. Box4Discs will be responsible for the practice baskets. Eric Welch and myself will head efforts to fund-raise for the overages with any of the moneys left over from those fundraising efforts presented to the Park District for betterment of the disc golf in Springfield. All of this contingent on Park District re-approval of the course.
Rich Klein will be heading efforts to sell the tee sign sponsorships at Lincoln Park North and South as a club fundraiser.

You are invited to the next club meeting. Any current 2015 club members and anyone that would like to join the club that evening is welcome to attend. The club membership is $20 which includes a club shirt or disc and a bag tag.
Elections will be held at this meeting. Any club member can bring up topics during the meeting. In addition to the elections, Steve Vose the tournament of the 2014 Capitol City Challenge will provide a summary of the tourney.
