Saturday: LINCOLN PARK (10a)
Wednesday: UI-S (5:30p)
Leagues are at Douglas Park for Saturdays in June – start time is 10am.
Mark your calendars…
The plan is to have a club meeting on Wednesday May 28th starting at 5:30 at Lincoln Park with the club providing food for the cook out. Some disc golfers will get there early to grill so the burgers and brats will be ready at 5:30. The plan is to have the club meeting completed by 6:30. Clark will organize some disc golf activity for that evening following the club meeting. This would be a great opportunity to invite out new and old disc golfers to learn more about the club and get some distance throwing lessons from C.lark. Also we can complete more course maintenance after the meeting.
May Leagues are back at Lincoln Park for Saturdays…
Last week Tree met with the Springfield Park District Board discussing our short and long range proposals for the disc golf courses, and met with several questions but overall approval.
On Tuesday morning, Scott and Tree met with the SPD ground crew and staked/painted out the locations for the 6 additional tee pads at Lincoln Park on the north course, working with the SPD to avoid tree roots. We also looked at the alternate pin placement for #14 south, which was also marked.
Today, the Springfield Park District is pouring the 6 extra tee pads on Lincoln Course North.
Here are the maps that were used during the CCC for 2012 for folks who have been asking for course maps… this was a tourney layout and there are alternate pin positions but it will give you the general flow of the courses.
Saturday Leagues are going to be at UIS for April at 10 am…and then Lincoln for May… Plan accordingly.
Wednesday Leagues remain at Douglas and start at 5:30 pm
